Ice Skating Again

Mitchell enjoyed ice skating so much the first time , and he has been mentioning it, so I took him skating. I'm off all this week, and so I have some quality time with Mitchell. My folks met us there, and my dad took these photos with the great camera he got from Santa Claus. Sometimes he really gets his feet moving fast... We wouldn't have made it very far without the "cheater" All smiles, so skating must have been a good choice Concentrate... concentrate... "Keep up, Mom! You're getting behind!" Smiles for Grandpa "Are we getting cocoa, after?" On one of his close-up visits with the ice, Mitchell decided to make a "snow angel" Snacks, afterward, at Culver's Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay

Second Day of Christmas

Chris' folks came over for Christmas gift exchange, and then my folks joined us for lunch. I spent an nearly two hours clearing the snow off of the driveway and front walk, since we would have guests. I guess I don't need to do any "exercise" today. Mitchell is a big Star Wars fan Daddy helped Mitchell punch out the pieces of a new game Gma and Gpa W We are very blessed to be able to get everyone together and enjoy some holiday time. Merry Christmas, Lisa Kay P.S. For a bit of holiday knitting, here is a lovely number by Thea at Baby Cocktails.

First Day of Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with my side of the family, today. My brother, Dave, and his wife, Stephanie , brought their son, Dane, over for our celebration with my folks and my family. We had some pork sandwiches (smoked by Chris) and exchanged gifts. The boys had a chance to play. Mitchell's Zhu Zhu pets were a hit with both boys Dane liked the cricket we found at the St. Charles craft fair I forced some snuggling on Dane Of all the toys, new and old, Dane seemed to like Mitchell's old drill We sent the drill home with Dane The grandparents with both boys Merry Christmas, Lisa Kay

Happy Birthday, Mitchell!

We had a casual gathering to celebrate Mitchell's birthday. There were a lot more adults than kids, and several adults arrived before any kids, and he kept asking when the kids would get there! Mitchell shows Mary the alligator turtle. Mitchell picked out Iron Man as his cake theme.     Mitchell blew out one of his candles, this year...     ...and then Momma helped with the rest.   Chocolate with raspberry filling. Delicious! And the cream cheese frosting is pretty good, too!   Mitchell lays a hug on Garrett.   Daddy helped open gifts.   Lego Space Police!   "You shall obey my command..."   Madison on the harmonica. Christmas portrait Hard to believe he is five! Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay
