The stitches will look slightly odd because of being sideways instead of up and down. (The "V's" point perpendicularly to the body.) However, if you persevere with the pattern, it works out. I'm not sure what else to say. I've had issues interpreting the designer's instructions and fear I've tried her patience asking her questions. So I turn to you.
