I started on a spindle, and a spun a whole 4 ...Hi,<br /><br />I started on a spindle, and a spun a whole 4 oz roving on the spindle. I then got a wheel and spun another 4 oz of the same roving on the wheel. Now, I can't tell the difference. You can spin just as well on a spindle. I'm a knitter, but not a spinner and don't think that I ever will be. It kinda scares me. And the wheel appears to be a big investment. Maybe I could start with a spindle.
