Almeara - Second Glove Done

Hi, I finished the second glove. I really like these. It is hard to get a good picture of the cables with the dark yarn. Here are two pictures. The brighter one is closer to the real color. The greyer one is just to see the cable work. (I played with color and contrast in Photoshop Elements until I got the cables to come up more clearly.) I can't wait to wear these! (It is still cold enough... for a few more days, at least!) Yea! Happy Knitting! Lisa Kay

Almeara

Hi, I was enticed by BrooklynTweed's Almeara Gloves in the Winter 2008/2009 Vogue Knitting . I started the first one on my trip to NY on Thursday, finishing the last finger and thumb after getting home. Total, four calendar days. So far, no errata to report that I've not already seen on Ravelry, though I would like to point out that it took well less than one yarn ball to make one glove. I used the recommended yarn, Rowan's Scottish Tweed DK, in the "Thistle" colorway. (The pattern says three. Just get two.) Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay

Running With the Flag

Hi, Mitchell is intrigued with the flags the yard service leaves in the yard. They're really just advertisements, I suppose, but he likes them. He also likes to hide out under the weeping cedar at the corner of the house. :) Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay
