It is two colors. It takes just a bit more than one skein of each. You'll have enough left over to do heels/toes or something for another pair (unless you make them much larger). It is variegated purple and varigated green.
Talk about some socks that rock, man. I love these socks! I'm so buried with work, home improvement, knitting right now but I can't wait to make these.
