Four and Twenty Blackbirds

Facebook makes blogging somewhat OBE, but still... I suppose that I made things more hectic than they needed to be, taking on a quilting project in the middle of Tour de Fleece. However, I bought a quilt while I was on our trip to Branson, and I got the bug to do some patchwork. I pulled some airplane fabric out of stash (been there over 15 years), and I found a couple more pieces to go with the group of six fabrics I already had, and then made a quilt top for Mitchell. I have had my last few quilt tops machine quilted, but the lady that did them retired, so I'm going to have to find someone else... Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay

Promise

Oh, I forgot to blog my last spin of 2015 TdF, "Promise" on Finnish Landrace ("Finn"). 230 yards. Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay

Dubonnet

I made Thea Colman's "Dubonnet," using Elsebeth Lavold's "Silky Wool." This was a fun little cardigan that I knitted in the car on our recent trip to Branson. Ravelry project page, here . Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay

Ropes and Picots

I made an older pattern from Interweave Knits Magazine, the "Ropes and Picots Cardigan" from the Winter 2008 issue. The pattern is available to download , though. I used the recommended yarn, Rowan Scottish Tweed, but in a different color. Ravelry project page, here . Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay

Summer Vacation

We spent a few days in Branson, MO, including most of two days at Silver Dollar City. It rained a lot, which kept the crowds down. Mitchell panned for gemstones. In one of the few dry moments: Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay

Oak Moon

I finished "Oak Moon" on Kent Romney, late yesterday. It is a bit thinner than the "Heart of Winter," making 230 yards. Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay

Tour de Fleece

Tour de Fleece is underway. Here's how I started: "Heart of Winter" on Kent Romney (201 yards of heavy worsted). First bobbin of "Oak Moon" on Kent Romney: Happy Knitting, Lisa Kay
